Get better sound in minutes

Short, practical walkthroughs for the things people do most with SoundBooster.

1. Make a quiet video louder

  1. Install the Chrome extension and pin it to your toolbar.
  2. Open the video and start playing it.
  3. Click SoundBooster → 150% Boost. Still too quiet? Try 200% Loud, then drag higher if needed.
  4. Keep the limiter on. If voices sound harsh, lower the boost or reduce Treble in Advanced controls.
  5. Turn on Remember for this site to use the same level next time.

2. Make dialogue easier to understand

  1. Boost the tab, then open Advanced controls.
  2. Choose the Quiet dialogue profile. It lowers rumble, lifts the 1–3.5 kHz range where speech is clearest and narrows the stereo image.
  3. Fine-tune the 3.5k EQ band until voices sit clearly on top of music and effects.

3. Master a song for streaming

  1. Open AI Mastering and drop in your final mix (WAV if you have it).
  2. Pick a starting profile — Balanced is a safe start.
  3. Type what you want, for example “Keep the dynamics but add more clarity”, and press Master My Track.
  4. Switch between A and B with loudness matching on. If the master only sounds better because it's louder, it isn't better.
  5. For Spotify and YouTube, set Loudness target to about −14 LUFS; they turn louder tracks down anyway.
  6. Export 24-bit WAV for distribution, or MP3 320 kbps to share.

4. Match a reference track

  1. Open Reference Mastering. Add your mix and a file of a song with the sound you want.
  2. Compare the tonal balance chart: where the reference line sits above yours, it has more energy in that range.
  3. Press Apply Reference. Start around 60–80% match amount; 100% can overshoot.
  4. Listen to all three versions with level matching on, then export.

5. Check your loudness before release

  1. Open the LUFS Meter and load your master.
  2. Read integrated loudness and true peak. For most platforms, keep true peak at or below −1 dBTP.
  3. Use the Loudness Range Analyzer to see how dynamic the track is.

6. Make an instrumental

  1. Open the Vocal Remover.
  2. With the AI server connected, choose AI model for the cleanest result. Otherwise use On-device, which works on stereo mixes with centred vocals.
  3. Download the instrumental stem, or rebalance the stems and export the mix.
